Internship Opportunity: UI/UX Design Intern (Remote)
We are looking for a creative UI/UX Design Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain practical experience in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and crafting seamless digital experiences in a global, remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
☑️Design Execution: Assist in creating wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
☑️User Research: Support the team in conducting user research and analyzing usability testing results to improve product interfaces.
☑️Asset Management: Help maintain design systems, component libraries, and style guides to ensure brand consistency.
☑️Collaboration: Work with developers and product teams to ensure design concepts are feasible and implemented accurately.
☑️Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on current UI/UX trends, tools, and accessibility standards.
Requirements:
☑️Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, IT, or a related field.
☑️Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
☑️A strong eye for layout, typography, and color theory.
☑️Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and receive feedback constructively.
☑️A portfolio showcasing relevant design work or projects is highly preferred.

Interview advice
Going for the Design role at GAOTek? A few things that help freshers walk in prepared:
- Your portfolio is the interview: be ready to walk through one project as a story — the problem, the choices you made, and the outcome, not just the visuals.
- Rehearse "tell me about yourself" out loud in about 60 seconds — education, one standout achievement, why this role — instead of reciting your CV top to bottom.
- Put numbers on your achievements: "8.5/10 GPA", "cut load time by 40%", "led a team of four" lands far better than "good grades" or "hard-working".
- For a virtual interview, test your internet, camera and mic in advance, sit somewhere quiet and well-lit, and still dress formally — it signals you are serious.
- Prepare two or three thoughtful questions to ask them about the team, the work and growth; "I have no questions" reads as low interest.
