Operations Intern
We're hiring an Operations Intern at Nello.
You’ll be right at the heart of how Nello works. You’ll:
→ Own the parent journey, from the first conversation to placement
→ Interview and onboard nanny candidates and help us find the right fit for families
→ Stay connected with families after placement, solve problems and make sure the match works
→ And jump into whatever needs building, whether that’s improving our website, setting up a tracker, or figuring out a process that doesn’t exist yet
We're looking for someone who:
• Has completed their formal education
• Moves fast and is high on ownership
• Communicates clearly in English and is comfortable speaking Hindi
• Genuinely enjoys talking to people, because there will be a LOT of calls
• Is comfortable with ambiguity and figuring things out independently
• Most importantly, wants to build something, not just add an internship to their CV
You’ll work closely with me and get a front-row seat to how an early-stage startup is built, across operations, sales, marketing and product.
You’ll own real outcomes, not just projects.
And if we’re a strong fit, this can turn into a full-time role with equity.

Interview advice
Going for the Operations role at Nello? A few things that help freshers walk in prepared:
- Have one example ready where you brought order to chaos — a process you organised or a bottleneck you fixed, with the result.
- Spend 30 to 60 minutes beforehand on the company's site, recent news and LinkedIn, so you can name one specific reason you want to join when they ask.
- Re-read the job description and prepare two projects or coursework examples that map directly to what it asks for.
- Rehearse "tell me about yourself" out loud in about 60 seconds — education, one standout achievement, why this role — instead of reciting your CV top to bottom.
- Put numbers on your achievements: "8.5/10 GPA", "cut load time by 40%", "led a team of four" lands far better than "good grades" or "hard-working".
