About the Role
Are you a fresher looking to launch your career in High-Definition (HD) Mapping and Autonomous Driving Infrastructure? We are looking for detail-oriented GIS Data Specialists to join our teams in Coimbatore and Kolkata.
In this role, you will work with high-resolution satellite imagery and JOSM (Java OpenStreetMap Editor) to annotate road networks, lane geometries, intersections, medians, and sidewalks to support next-generation navigation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Road Network Annotation: Digitally map road centerlines, lane edges, intersections, medians, sidewalks, and driveways in JOSM using satellite imagery.
2. Feature Tagging: Apply specific OSM tagging standards to classify road types, turn restrictions, and lane configurations.
3. Data Quality Assurance: Run self-validation checks to ensure road network connectivity, geometric accuracy, and proper imagery alignment.
4. Data Export: Export structured .osm.pbf files for client delivery and maintain high quality and productivity standards.
Who Can Apply? (Freshers Only)
1. Diploma / Bachelor’s / Master’s in GIS, Remote Sensing, Geomatics, Geography, Civil Engineering, Surveying, Environmental Science, or related fields.
2. Freshers with relevant academic projects, internships, or GIS certification courses are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Skills Required:
1. Basic hands-on knowledge or course training in JOSM, QGIS, or ArcGIS.
Understanding of basic GIS concepts, map digitizing, and spatial data topology.
2. Good visual interpretation skills for satellite/aerial imagery.
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and willingness to learn.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of Python basics or prior exposure to OpenStreetMap (OSM) tagging.
