๐Ÿ“‰As an aspiring Environmental Data Analyst/MIS Reporting, I recently completed an end-to-end analysis of 11 years (2013-2024) of CPCB water quality data for the Yamuna River using Power BI to diagnose the systemic pollution trends gripping the Yamuna River basin.
The visual insights reveal exactly where and why the river basin transforms into an "ecological dead zone" as it encounters urban corridors.

๐Ÿฆ  ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐˜„๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ ๐—Ÿ๐—ผ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ: Total Coliform counts sit at ๐Ÿญ.๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฌ ๐—•๐—ถ๐—น๐—น๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป and Faecal Coliform reaches ๐Ÿฎ.๐Ÿด๐Ÿฐ ๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—น๐—น๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป. This staggering microbial load is clear diagnostic proof of massive, untreated domestic sewage ingress.

High concentrations of Surfactants (๐Ÿฒ.๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ mg/l) and Phosphates (๐Ÿญ๐Ÿต.๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฌ mg/l) in specific sectors provide concrete evidence of commercial detergents and household greywater bypassing municipal treatment entirely.

The data shows that a generalized approach across the entire basin is inefficient. To maximize ecological return on investment, remediation policies and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) resources must immediately prioritize the 4 absolute drainage bottlenecks:
