💼 Position: DevOps Engineer
📍 Location: Hyderabad (On-site)

🔹 Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production systems using Grafana, Prometheus, and AWS CloudWatch.
Manage Linux-based virtual machines, backups, restores, patching, and production support.
Work closely with developers to resolve build, deployment, and infrastructure issues.
Support ML pipeline deployments on Amazon EKS.
Manage databases and distributed systems including MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Kafka, Flink, Milvus, and Redis/Valkey.

Interview advice
Going for the DevOps role at UpwardIQ? A few things that help freshers walk in prepared:
- Be ready to sketch a simple CI/CD pipeline and to name the tools you have actually touched — even a college project counts.
- Rehearse "tell me about yourself" out loud in about 60 seconds — education, one standout achievement, why this role — instead of reciting your CV top to bottom.
- Put numbers on your achievements: "8.5/10 GPA", "cut load time by 40%", "led a team of four" lands far better than "good grades" or "hard-working".
- For a virtual interview, test your internet, camera and mic in advance, sit somewhere quiet and well-lit, and still dress formally — it signals you are serious.
- Prepare two or three thoughtful questions to ask them about the team, the work and growth; "I have no questions" reads as low interest.
