Day16 : From Shark Tank Inspiration to Shaping Our Startup's Future
They say how you start your morning sets the tone for the rest of the day. For Day 16 of my internship, that spark came from watching a Shark Tank pitch. Seeing that raw entrepreneurial energy was exactly the momentum I needed before diving into a packed schedule of execution, strategy, and leadership.
With that builder’s mindset, I jumped straight into talent acquisition, launching LinkedIn hiring campaigns for our open Data and Business Analyst roles through a coordinated group posting effort. But growth isn't just about building the team—it’s about giving back to the community. To that end, I designed and published a Python basics carousel to help aspiring analysts level up their technical skills.
The second half of the day shifted gears from execution to high-level strategy. I sat in on a core alignment meeting with our founder, Group Leaders (GLs), and Sub-GLs to map out our next moves. Stepping out of that room, I immediately put on my own leadership hat, hosting a sync to guide my group members and mentoring our newest interns to ensure they felt confident in their workflow.
To cap it all off, I had a fantastic sync with my Team Leader. Taking a page out of the Shark Tank playbook from my morning routine, I pitched a few of my own ideas on how we can refine the startup's operations and scale our impact.
Days like today are exactly why I love the startup grind—you aren't just completing tasks; you're actively building the foundation.

Interview advice
Going for the Data Analyst role at Analytics Career Connect? A few things that help freshers walk in prepared:
- Brush up SQL joins and aggregations, and be ready to walk one analysis end to end: the question you asked, the data you used, and what you found.
- Use STAR for "tell me about a time" questions — Situation, Task, Action, Result — so your story stays clear and short.
- Keep answers tight and on-point; avoid rambling or personal topics like religion, politics, relationships or family.
- Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early (not an hour), and carry a printed CV, a valid ID and any certificates.
- Practise once out loud with a friend or a mock interview — the more you rehearse, the calmer and clearer you will be on the day.
