Business Development Representative
"HR only calls people and schedules interviews."
I used to hear this all the time.
What most people don't see is what happens behind the scenes.
Last week, I spoke with more than 60 candidates for our Business Development roles.
Some had excellent resumes but struggled to communicate their thoughts.
Some had years of experience but weren't willing to work with international clients or the US shift.
And then there was one fresher.
No sales experience.
No fancy certifications.
No big company on the resume.
But they communicated with confidence, asked thoughtful questions, and showed genuine curiosity about learning the SaaS industry.
That conversation reminded me why I enjoy recruitment.
As HR, our job isn't just to fill positions.
It's about identifying potential before it becomes experience.
Today, we're looking for people who are ready to grow—not just people with the perfect resume.

Interview advice
Going for the Sales role at SASTORM SOFTWARE? A few things that help freshers walk in prepared:
- Expect a role-play: be ready to pitch a product in two minutes and to keep going politely after a "no" — resilience is most of what they are testing.
- Practise once out loud with a friend or a mock interview — the more you rehearse, the calmer and clearer you will be on the day.
- Send a short thank-you message within a day that refers to something specific you discussed — most freshers skip this, and it is remembered.
- Spend 30 to 60 minutes beforehand on the company's site, recent news and LinkedIn, so you can name one specific reason you want to join when they ask.
- Re-read the job description and prepare two projects or coursework examples that map directly to what it asks for.
