Business Development Executive
“We don't just hire for where you are today. We hire for where you can be tomorrow.”
Earlier this week, I was looking over the growth roadmap for our international sales division at Sastorm Software. I started thinking about what truly makes a great salesperson.
Is it a flawless resume? Years of corporate jargon?
Not necessarily. It’s hunger. It’s resilience. It’s that genuine curiosity about how global businesses operate, combined with the grit to turn a cold outreach into a warm, meaningful conversation.
That is exactly why we designed our Business Development Executive (BDE) role to be a true launchpad. We aren't looking for someone to just sit in a corner and shadow a senior team member. You’ll be diving straight into the US & UK Telecommunications markets, working alongside our AEs and tech teams, and learning the full B2B sales lifecycle hands-on.
The best part? This role has a clear, structured path to becoming an Account Executive. Plus, because we believe in rewarding impact, we even sponsor international travel visas for client visits, industry events, and on-site engagements in the US & UK.
If you have 0-2 years of experience (yes, freshers with exceptional English communication skills, I am looking at you!) and want to build deep, high-value expertise fast—we want you in our Gurugram office.
The Details:
Role: Business Development Executive (Inside Sales)
Location: Gurugram, India (On-site)
Shift: US & UK hours (Flexible timing)
Experience: 0 - 2 Years (Freshers welcome!)
Even if you don’t tick every single box perfectly, but you have a high sense of urgency and excellent communication skills, don't rule yourself out. Let's talk.

Interview advice
Going for the Sales role at Sastorm Software? A few things that help freshers walk in prepared:
- Expect a role-play: be ready to pitch a product in two minutes and to keep going politely after a "no" — resilience is most of what they are testing.
- For a virtual interview, test your internet, camera and mic in advance, sit somewhere quiet and well-lit, and still dress formally — it signals you are serious.
- Prepare two or three thoughtful questions to ask them about the team, the work and growth; "I have no questions" reads as low interest.
- It is fine not to know something — say how you would find the answer. Freshers are hired for how they think, not for knowing everything already.
- Use STAR for "tell me about a time" questions — Situation, Task, Action, Result — so your story stays clear and short.
