HDFC ERGO General Insurance is looking for an Actuarial Intern | Mumbai 📍
We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented candidate with a strong foundation in actuarial concepts, data analysis, portfolio monitoring, and profitability management, coupled with a keen interest in the general insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Portfolio monitoring and performance tracking across multiple distribution channels.
✅ Support preparation of regulatory and management reports.
✅ Assist in development and maintenance of actuarial technical models.
✅ Analyse loss ratio (LR) drivers and support corrective action initiatives.
✅ Monitor commission ratios, acquisition costs, and other profitability control metrics.
✅ Support implementation and tracking of LR/commission control measures across products and channels.
✅ Conduct data analysis and prepare insights for portfolio reviews and business discussions.
What We’re Looking For:
🔹 Proficiency in MS Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis).
🔹 Knowledge of R programming and/or SAS is preferred.
🔹 Good progress in actuarial examinations.
🔹 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
🔹 Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Qualifications:
✔️ Undergraduate or postgraduate student/graduate in a quantitative field with good progress in actuarial examinations.
